After earning her bachelor’s degree in Space Physics in 2014, Anna made a leap to entrepreneurship and joined construction and industrial machinery manufacturing ventures run by her future co-founder of Apis Cor, Nick Cheniuntai. Working side by side with Nick, at 22, Anna had successfully managed a massive $6m project to construct and deploy the ground navigation system at the Olympic Games in 2014. This experience became a turning point for Anna and Nick, recognizing the construction industry was in desperate need of automation. Together, they founded Apis Cor, a construction technology company that builds state-of-the-art 3D printing robots for full-scale construction. Today, Apis Cor works with D.R. Horton, the largest national homebuilder in the USA, holds a Guinness World Record for the largest 3D printed building on Earth, is a finalist of NASA’s 3D Printed Habitat Challenge, and is backed by Alchemist Accelerator and At One Ventures, VC focused on investing in a world where humanity becomes a net positive to nature. Apis Cor is proud to have more than 2,000 investors through equity crowdfunding who believe in Apis Cor’s mission and technology. Anna has also contributed her insights on 3D printing in construction as a TEDx speaker.

Tomas Garcia is the Co-Founder & CEO of Arx, an automated underwriting platform that helps residential developers and home builders source and evaluate optimal development opportunities. Before co-founding Arx, Tomas worked in the Investment Banking Division at Goldman Sachs on a variety of M&A and capital-raise transactions. He received his JD/MBA from the University of Chicago and his B.S. in Quantitative Economics and International Relations from Tufts University. He is a licensed attorney in the State of California.

Chris is the Managing Partner of Home Technology Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund dedicated to accelerating the adoption of innovation across the housing and home industries. Prior to founding Home Technology Ventures, Chris led innovation, strategy and corporate development at Lowe's and served as the founding Managing Director of Lowe's Ventures. He began his career as an investment banker focused on the homebuilding, building materials, distribution and specialty contractor segments.

Mark is currently serving as the Senior Vice President at MiTek leading the Global Homebuilding Solutions Team. MiTek is a Berkshire Hathaway company headquartered in Chesterfield, Missouri. Mark has extensive global business experience with significant leadership roles in marketing and sales, operations, investment banking, turnaround consulting, and entrepreneurship. Mark started his career at Dow Corning Corporation serving in sales, marketing, and program management capacities. He furthered his industry and technical competencies at GE Plastics serving in program management, global sales leadership, and commercial quality leadership roles as a six sigma blackbelt. After a stint in turnaround consulting and private equity, Mark supported the growth of global businesses at Nalco Company and Dover Corporation in General Management roles. He and his wife also enjoyed building relationships in Asia while he was the Managing Director of Dover Corporation’s Waukesha Bearings Asia Pacific operations based out of Shanghai, China.

Jenna is the Chief Innovation and Strategy Officer at Ivory Innovations, a Utah-based nonprofit dedicated to catalyzing innovation in housing affordability. At Ivory, she leads strategy and partnership efforts that support the innovative organizations and entrepreneurs recognized by the annual Ivory Prize for Housing Affordability. She attended Harvard College and holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Damien McBrien

Senior Manager, Innovations & Acquisitions

DR Horton

Damien is a Senior Manager on the Innovation and Acquisition Team at DR Horton, the largest Home Builder in America. With a background in Finance and Accounting, Damien has worked on DR Horton's Builder Acquisitions over the last 9 years, as well as being a part of the initial team tasked with rolling out DR Horton’s nationwide Build to Rent program. In addition to his role on the acquisition team, Damien leads DR Horton's Innovation efforts, as they look for Strategic Partnerships and Investments in new technologies focused on attainability, sustainability, cycle time reductions, and an overall better living environment for our customers.

Dennis has extensive strategic innovation experience and a broad network of leaders in the housing industry from the U.S. and around the world. He’s a boundary spanner, a connector, and an investor in all things related to the built environment. Promoting broader R&D efforts and navigating complex networks of transactional relationships, Dennis seeks out opportunities to create connections in advancing transformational initiatives to achieve objectives together that we shouldn’t, and likely couldn’t, tackle alone.

Shanna has focused her career on the intersection between design and technology with an emphasis on 3D technology platforms. She is a multi-time proptech founder having built Sim Ops which was acquired by Autodesk and Modsy, a home design app, which was acquired by Lennar. Shanna is a former investment partner at Google Ventures and now serves as the Chief Product Officer of Lennar.

Brett leads innovation and building science for Meritage Homes, the 5th largest homebuilder in the US. His prior experience in manufacturing and sustainability provides a foundation to approach some of the most important challenges in construction. He works closely with Meritage divisions to deploy practical solutions that provide tangible benefits for our homebuyers and our business. He is biased in favor of product solutions that shift the burden of ‘know-how’ to the product and recognize how they fit in the current ecosystem.
